Human Growth Foundation (HGF) today
announced that Eli Lilly and Company is the lead sponsor of its HGF Family Day,
an event that aims to increase the awareness of growth disorders and the
critical importance of early diagnosis and treatment. HGF Family Day will
be held on Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at SeaWorld in
Orlando, Florida.
“We are grateful to have Lilly’s support. This event will provide a great opportunity to engage
the community and healthcare professionals as well as educate them on the
importance of early diagnosis and treatment," says HGF executive director
Patricia Costa.
Research shows that growth hormone
deficiency has been identified in approximately 1 in every 3,800 children.
HGF Family Day kicks off National Growth
Awareness Week and will feature morning workshops, including: how to obtain
medical insurance reimbursement, coping with short stature, and the latest
developments in growth disorders. Families will then enjoy catered lunch,
followed by SeaWorld park activities. HGF Family Day tickets can be purchased
online at www.HGFFamilyDay.net.
