Human Growth
Foundation (HGF) today announces that it will host a “family day” dedicated to
raising awareness of growth disorders and the importance of early diagnosis and
treatment. HGF Family Day will celebrate National Growth Awareness Week by
providing a special day of education and empowerment for families impacted by
various forms of growth disorders and growth hormone deficiency.
HGF Family
Day will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at
SeaWorld, in Orlando, Florida.
“Our mission is to not only educate and empower families impacted by growth disorders,” says HGF executive director Patricia Costa. “It is also important for us to continue providing resources to health care professionals about the importance of a child’s growth as a key indicator of their overall health.”
HGF Family
Day will feature morning workshops, including: the latest developments of
growth disorders, coping with short stature, and how to obtain medical
insurance reimbursement for the treatment of growth disorders and growth
hormone deficiency. Following the workshops, families will have lunch and
participate in Sea World Park activities.
All families
impacted by growth disorders and growth hormone deficiency are encouraged to
attend. Event tickets include a Family Pack of Five for $50 and individual
tickets at $15.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.HGFFamilyDay.net.
